News At A Glance

  • Events Before our Closure – The Ashram hosted the United in Hope Interfaith/Ecosociety Climate Vigil in February – a wonderful afternoon in the Temple of storytelling, music, dancing and gratitude for the planet. We equally enjoyed a fieldtrip by Crawford Bay students. Special thanks Fridays for Future Nelson and Charles Keith McNab for sharing your inspiring words during the vigil! And the school field trip brought joy when ten grade 5-7 school children from local Crawford Bay School enjoyed a morning of Hatha, learning about our herb gathering, and meditation in the Temple.
  • Springtime Garden Preparations – Activity has started in the garden as we expand it back to full production – preplanned for this year and all the more important with current events. The benefits of food security support our farm-to table-philosophy and make a full garden essential this season. Our long-time garden manager, Molly – whom we appreciate for all her dedication – is mentoring two new garden leads and they are busily preparing soil, planting seedlings and planning.
  • New blog – Our groups coordinator, Danni Lynch, has published her new blog with her insightful perspectives, writing and poetry. See here for her many articles that are relevant for the times.
  • YouTube Subscribers Needed – Our Youtube channel is requiring more subscribers so we can have more options for live streaming events. Please go to our channel and subscribe! Stay current with our Instagram and Facebook platforms too.
